ORDER
This Writ of Mandamus has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to provide electricity connection to the houses of the petitioner bearing Door Nos.43/6A & 43/6B, Bungalow 2nd Street, Kovilpatti, Tuticorin District on the basis of the representation dated 27.05.2016 sent by the petitioner. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that he is the owner of the abovesaid property and in support of the same, sale deed dated 22.05.1989 has been filed. Tax receipt also stands in the name of the petitioner.

representation dated 27.05.2016, neither the 2nd respondent provided electricity connection, nor has passed an order rejecting her request. The decision of this Court in W.P(MD)No.19404 of 2015, dated 30.06.2015 is relied upon, whereunder, even in respect of a property belonging to the Government, direction has been issued to grant relief to the petitioner for electricity connection as prayed for. Contending that this petitioner is a person better placed than the petitioner in W.P(MD)No.19404 of 2015, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.05.2016.
4.Learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that it is agreeable for the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.05.2016 and to pass orders.
5.Accordingly, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.05.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
