ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give appropriate protection for performance of Kumbahisekam of Arulmigu Vinayagar, Mahamariamman and Saraswathi Temples in Athiyur Village, Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District and other connected rituals scheduled to be held on 14.09.2016.

2.Mr.K.P.Krishna Doss, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 4.Mr.S.Madhavan, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner gave a representation, dated 12.08.2016, seeking permission, but so far, the same was not considered by the respondents. 5.Per contra, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that since there was a dispute between two communities, the Tahsildar is enquiring with the matter.

6.Considering the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition and without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent shall consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.08.2016 and take a decision on or before 12.09.2016.

7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
