Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal and Karagattam scheduled to be held on 11.04.2017 at night in connection with the "Kodai Vizha" in Arulmigu Sri Ulagamman Kovil at Mela Kallur Village, Kallur Post, Tirunelveli District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 30.03.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.A.Robinson For Respondents : Mr.K.Guru, Additional Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal and Karagattam programmes in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 30.03.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
