O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 to 4 herein to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.02.2017 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1, 2 and 4 and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent.

takes notice for the respondents 1, 2 and 4 and Mr.P.Gunasekaran, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the third respondent. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The second respondent, namely, the Superintendent of Police(Rural), Madurai, is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.02.2017 and forward the proposals to the third respondent, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The third respondent, namely, The Accountant General, Chennai, is directed to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the proposals/recommendations from the second respondent. "
