Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to grant permission to petitioner's Village to conduct the Jallikattu on 16.04.2017 on the occasion of Sri Kandi Karuppar Kovil at M.Pudhur, Thirupathur Taluk, Sivagangai District on the eve of festival.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Jallikkattu in the place https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. 3.It is seen from the records that on 17.03.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the third respondent viz., the District Collector, Sivagangai District is directed to look into the representation dated 17.03.2017 and pass suitable orders on merits within a period of two days. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
