ORDER

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to mutate the revenue records in respect of the properties situated in Survey Nos.14-3, 15-8, 17-3B, 17-4, 17-7, 30-7, 30-8A, 30-8B, 40-2A, 40-2B, 40-2C1, 40-2C2, 40-2D, 40-2E, 42-3, Sambandar Alangulam Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District, with an total extent of 1.87 Acres in the name of the petitioner, by considering his representation dated 10.02.2022.

2.Heard the arguments of Mr.S.Madhavan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additioanl Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3.According to the petitioner, the above mentioned properties were endowed in favour of the petitioner Devasthanam by one Chinna Elumalai under a settlement deed dated 09.12.1926. Due to interference made by some third parties, the petitioner Devasthanam filed an application under Section 63 (c)& (d) of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act before the jurisdictional Joint Commissioner seeking a declaration that the above mentioned properties were specific endowments attached to the petitioner Devasthanam.

After detailed enquiry, the said application was allowed and the subject properties were declared as specific endowments attached to the petitioner. On the strength of the said order, the petitioner submitted a representation before the respondents on 10.02.2022, seeking mutation of the revenue records. The same has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered on its own merits within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.02.2022 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
