O R D E R

The writ of Mandamus has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to give electricity service connection to the petitioner's building bearing Door No.20/62 situated at Konnapachhi Vilai, Aruvikarai Village, Kalkulam Taluk, Kanyakumari District.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that he became the owner of the property by virtue of a Will executed by his father Ponnaiyyan. The petitioner has constructed a new house, as the old house was in a dilapidated condition. After the new house being built-up, patta and building tax were transferred in his name and tax assessment is also in the name of the petitioner. The petitioner is paying the house tax regularly. So saying, the petitioner has submitted an application on 11.08.2016 seeking electricity service connection before the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

third respondent. The third respondent has not yet given the electricity service connection. Therefore, a representation, dated 01.09.2016 has been submitted seeking electricity service connection. Since no order has been passed, the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking directions. 3.The learned counsel for the respondents would submit that the application and representation of the petitioner would be duly considered and further action would be taken within a period of four weeks.

4.Accordingly, the respondent is directed to consider the applicant and representation of the petitioner and to pass orders and take further action, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
