Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue patta in the petitioner's name as per the order of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Madurai in order Ni.Mu.No.5438/2012/C, dated 29.07.2013 to her property measuring 1720 sq. ft. in Plot No.48 in Survey Number R.S.No.375/2 in patta No.1443, Piramalai, Madakkulam Village, Madurai, within the period stipulated by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the Respondent.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner said to have filed an application before the respondent on 04.07.2016, for change of patta pursuant to the order passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Madurai in Proceedings Ni.Mu.No.5438/2012/C, dated 29.07.2013, with regard to her property measuring 1720 sq. ft. in Plot No.48 in Re-survey No.375/2 in patta No.1443 situated at Piramalai, Madakkulam Village, Madurai. But, so far the respondent did not take any steps. Hence, she filed this Writ Petition.

In the above circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 04.07.2016 and pass suitable orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to all the parties concerned, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Further, the petitioner is directed to furnish all the relevant documents before the respondent at the time of enquiry. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
