The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to perform the cultural program of Adal Padal and other programmes on 11.09.2016 night at Manthaiya Thidal, Sorrukkalipatti, South Amur, Melur Taluk, Madurai District and to provide adequate police protection based on petitioners representation dated 06.09.2016.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.Considering the nature of the prayer sought for in this petition and without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent/Inspector of Police, Melur Police Station, Melur, Madurai District shall consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.09.2016 and pass orders as expeditiously as possible.
