O R D E R

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to instruct the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.07.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that her husband Martin was already convicted and he has lodged in Central Prison, Trichy and his appeal is pending before the Hon'ble Supreme Court. Since he is having a threat to his life in Trichy prison, the petitioner made a representation to the first respondent to transfer him to Puzhal Prison, Chennai. But, so far the representation was not favourably considered by the respondent police, she has come up with this writ petition.

4. Considering the nature of the prayer sought for and without going to the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.07.2016 on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
