Respondents PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioners' representation, dated 10.02.2017 for inclusion of the name of the petitioners in the panel of Typist/Junior Assistant fit for promotion to the post of Assistant for the year 2012 and fix the inter-se-seniority thereof in the light of G.O.Ms.No.567 Revenue Service 6(1) Department, dated 04.09.2006 issued by the first respondent and the proceedings of the second respondent in e/f/gzp.4(4)/32462/2013, dated 23.09.2014, by relaxing Rule 30(C) of the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service Special Rules within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioners' representation, dated 10.02.2017 for inclusion of the name of the petitioners in the panel of
Typist/Junior Assistant fit for promotion to the post of Assistant for the year 2012 and fix the inter-se-seniority thereof in the light of G.O.Ms.No.567 Revenue Service 6(1) Department, dated 04.09.2006 issued by the first respondent and the proceedings of the second respondent in e/f/gzp.4(4)/32462/2013, dated 23.09.2014, by relaxing Rule 30(C) of the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service Special Rules within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3. Mr.V.Pandi, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 10.02.2017 for inclusion of the name of the petitioners in the panel of Typist/Junior Assistant fit for promotion to the post of Assistant for the year 2012 and to fix the interse-seniority thereof in the light of G.O.Ms.No.567 Revenue Service 6(1) Department, dated 04.09.2006 issued by the first respondent and the proceedings of the second respondent in e/f/gzp.4(4)/ 32462/2013, dated 23.09.2014, by relaxing Rule 30 (C) of the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service Special Rules, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
