ORDER

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the second respondent to take appropriate action, on the basis of the petitioner's complaint, dated 01.02.2021 (C.S.R. No. 20/2021) and remainders dated 05.03.2021 and 29.06.2022.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a retired school teacher. On 27.03.2005, the petitioner's brother, Mariyappan, Chellapandian were taken the petitioner's father/Nivanesan to Madurai for providing treatment and thereafter, they reported that the said Nivanesan was missing. In this regard, the petitioner gave a complaint. But, so far no has been taken. Hence this petition has been filed. 2/4

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that on receiving the petitioner's complaint, dated 01.02.2021, CSR.No.20 of 2021 had been assigned and now, enquiry is pending.

4.Recording the same, the second respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry upon the complaint, dated 01.02.2021 and dispose of it, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
