Respondents 1 & 2 Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to give permission for conducting Kavadi and Alagu Kutthal for Murugan on 14.04.2017 and Arulmigu Sree Muthumariyamman Temple Thiruvizha (mUs;kpF =Kj;Jkhhpak;kd; Nfhtpy; jpUtpoh) procession to be held from the temple to Old Mand through Ambedkar Street, Thuraiyut to Sellipalayam Highways and return on same route from 16.04.2017 to 17.04.2017 in Ambedkar Nagar, Sellipalayam Village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Trichy District, by considering petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2017, within the period stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J) This writ petition has been filed for directing the first respondent to give permission for conducting Temple festival and procession through certain routes.

2.It is seen that the festival was to be held on 16 April 2017 and 17 April 2017. The said dates have already passed. Therefore, nothing survives in the writ petition for disposal. This writ petition is liable to be dismissed as infructuous. However, the dismissal of this writ petition as infructuous will not stand in the way of the writ petitioner from submitting a fresh request with regard to the conduct of the festival for the subsequent years. The first respondent shall consider the same in the light of the factual situation then prevailing and pass orders in accordance with law after hearing the writ petitioner. 3.With this observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
