Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to form the ring road at Karur by implementing the Government Order vide G.O.(Ms).No.164 dated 18.10.2013 passed by the 1st respondent within the time limit as stipulated by this Court by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.02.2017 and 04.04.2017.

O R D E R

************ [Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The Government issued an order in G.O.(Ms).No.164, Highways and Minor Ports (HP2) Department, dated 18.10.2013 taking into account the announcement made by the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on 17th, 18th and 19th December 2012 on the floor of the assembly that a ring road will be sanctioned for Karur. Since follow up action was not taken pursuant to the said Government Order, the petitioner submitted representations dated 28.02.2017 and 04.04.2017. Feeling aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the third respondent, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader on instructions submitted that the authorities have conducted survey in all the 14 villages for the purpose of constructing a ring road for Karur.

3. Since the Government have already initiated action to form ring road as indicated in the Government Order in G.O.(Ms). No.164, Highways and Minor Ports (HP2) Department, dated 18.10.2013, no further order is necessary in this matter. We direct the respondents to expedite the process of constructing the ring road.

4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
