PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the 2nd respondent to provide police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner from the respondents 3 to 6.

ORDER

This petition is filed seeking police protection on the basis of the representation dated 18.08.2021.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that after the receipt of the representation, enquiry was undertaken and during the course of enquiry, the petitioner appeared before the Enquiry Officer and gave a statement to the effect that after receiving the representation, the police came to the disputed land and made enquiry. During that enquiry, an undertaking has been given by the 2nd respondent herein to the effect that if any necessity arises, they are ready to extend the police protection. Crl.O.P(MD).No.13372 of 2021 the petitioner has withdrawn his representation. So, it was closed on 12.09.2021.

3.Since undertaking has been given by the 2nd respondent, based upon which, the petitioner has withdrawn his representation, nothing survives for further consideration or direction in this petition. The 2nd respondent may comply his undertaking that has been given to the petitioner on 12.09.2021.

4.With the aforesaid observations, this petition is disposed of as infructuous.
