ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fourth respondent to consider the representation dated 15.07.2016 and conduct the enquiry in line with section 68 (2) of the Registration Act and complete the same within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.M.Ashok Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.The petitioner, in order to have an enquiry by the 4th respondent, has given a representation on 15.07.2016 with regard to the registration of document pertaining to the land at S.No.46/1 at Boothakudi village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District. Hence, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that, if the said representation is decided by conducting an enquiry under Section 68(2) of the Registration Act, the petitioner would be satisfied.

4.I have heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, who would submit that, the said representation of the petitioner dated 15.07.2016 would be considered and an enquiry would be conducted under Section 68(2) of the Act and based on which, final order would be passed, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

5.Having regard to the said submission made by the learned counsel for both sides, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition, with the consent of both the parties, at the stage of admission itself, with the following direction: "The 4th respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.07.2016 by conducting an enquiry under Section 68(2) of the Registration Act and pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order." 6.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
