O R D E R
The petitioner has filed the writ petition seeking issuance of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to made allotment and give permission to the petitioner to open the Dasara Festival shops and install the Giant Wheel in the VOC Thidal, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli or Ayirathamman Temple Ground, Palai Market, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli District scheduled to be held on 10.10.2018 to 23.10.2018 by considering the petitioner's representations dated 19.09.2018, 25.09.2018.
2. In this regard it appears that the petitioner had submitted a representation on 19.09.2018 and 25.09.2018. Since the representations had not been considered and disposed of, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Mr.C.M.Marichelliah Prabhu, learned Additional Government Pleader took notice for the respondents 1, 3 to 6 and Mr.Ayiram K.Selvakumar learned Counsel took notice for the second respondent and entered for them.
4. The learned Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that a direction may be issued to the respondents competent authority to dispose of the representations of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law within a time to be stipulated by this Court.
5. In view of the limited prayer being sought by the counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with the following directions:
"The respondents competent authority are directed to dispose of the representations dated 19.09.2018 and 25.09.2018 submitted by the petitioner in regard to the prayer sought in the writ petition and take appropriate decision on merits and in accordance with
law within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that the respondents competent authority shall take all relevant factors for consideration and pass speaking order in this regard."
No costs.
