ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to issue a joint patta in her name in respect of property in Survey No.107/2A in Sakkarakottai Revenue Village, Ramanathapuram Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, by considering his representation dated 28.04.2025.
2. Heard the arguments of Mr.B.Mahendrarajan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4. According to the petitioner, the subject property belong to her grand-mother, viz., Jainaf Rekkaiya and joint patta for the subject property stands in the name of Jainaf Rekkaiya and others in patta
No.2204. The petitioner claims rights over the subject property in her capacity as sole surviving legal heir of Jainaf Rekkaiya. She submitted a representation before the District Collector on 28.04.2025 and the same has been subsequently forwarded to the second respondent. The second respondent, in turn, called for report from the third respondent.
5. It is seen from the proceedings of the third respondent in Na.Ka. (P4)/1984/2025, dated 10.05.2025 that the request of the petitioner is under consideration and the report of the third respondent will be sent to the second respondent as soon as possible.
6. The learned counsel for the petitioner submit that even though this application was submitted as early as on 28.04.2025, till date, no final order has been passed.
7. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioners will be considered by the second respondent in accordance with law.
8. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitionary dated 28.04.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
9. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
