Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to allot required any other land except Survey No.135/1 of Venkankudi Village, Manachanallur Taluk, Trichy District, to construct a Bus-depot by the 8th and 9th respondent Transport Corporation and further direct the first respondent to construct the Solar Panel system in S.No.135/1 on Venkankudi Village, Mannachanallur Taluk, Trichy District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 06.06.2016. (Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN, J.) By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that the respondents 8 and 9 without any authorisation or private permission, had sought to put up a Bus-depot in S.No.135/1 of Venkankudi Village, Mannachanallur Taluk, Trichy District. In this regard, he has also submitted a representation, dated 06.06.2016 to the respondents. Since there is no response forthcoming, the petitioner is constrained to file this writ petition.

3. This Court heard the submissions of Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondents 1 to 5 and Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents 8 and 9 and he produced the proceedings of the Director of Town Panchayat, dated 28.05.2015, in Na.Ka.No.4351/2014/C1, in which, the Director of Town Panchayats,

Chennai, has given no objection for putting up Bus-depot in favour of the respondents 8 and 9/Transport Corporation. The District Collector, Trichirappalli District, vide proceedings in Na.Ka.A4/13365/2015, dated 25.08.2015, has determined the cost of the land accorded for putting up Bus-depot at Rs.13,50,000/- and it was also paid and that the land in question has been transferred to the respondents 8 and 9 and steps are being taken to put up the Bus-depot. The proceedings of the Director of Town Panchayats as well as the District Collector of Trichy District are placed on record.

4. In the light of the said development, nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication. Therefore, the writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.(MD)No.12535 of 2016 is closed.
