Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records pertaining to the order of rejection to grant permission passed by the 2nd respondent by his proceedings in memorandum in No.Mike 33/P4PS/2017 dated 23.03.2017 and to quash the same as illegal and consequentially direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2017 and grant permission and police protection for the Kabadi Tournament scheduled to be held on 15.04.2017 (Saturday) and 16/04/2017 (Sunday) in the play ground of Nadar School, Sivandhipatti, Virudhunagar. [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for records relating to the

impugned order dated 23.03.2017 passed by the second respondent and quash the same, by way of issuing a writ of certiorarified mandamus.

2.Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that the petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondents for conducting Kabadi Tournament in the place mentioned therein, but the second respondent has rejected the same simply on the ground of law and order problem. The reason given by the second respondent is not proper and therefore this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the impugned order dated 23.03.2017 passed by the second respondent is quashed. The second respondent is directed to look into the representation alleged to have been given by the petitioner afresh and pass suitable orders on merits within a period of two days.
