O R D E R

The writ petitioner filed this petition for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation, dated 03.04.2023 in regard to removal of his name from the History Sheeted rowdy list in H.S.No. 99/1989 on the file of the 2nd respondent.

2.Mr.B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents.

3.The petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents to remove his name from the History Sheet on 03.04.2023. Since the same was not considered till date, he has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to consider the same by the respondents. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that only on the basis of the case in Crime No.262 of 1989, History Sheet was opened against him. Though the petitioner was convicted in the above said case, now, the punishment period was over. Now the petitioner has lead a peaceful life along with his three daughters. But, based on the above said History sheet, frequently, the petitioner was asked to attend routine enquiry. Therefore, 2/4

he has sent a detailed representation to the respondent police to remove his name from the History sheet. But the same was not considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the representation made by the petitioner will be taken for consideration in the meeting scheduled to be held in the month of December 2023. 5.In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this writ petition stands disposed of on the above terms. No costs.
