ORDER
The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction, directing the 3rd respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner herein dated 28.7.16.
2. According to the petitioners, he purchased a property in S.No.969/8 of Nalatinputhur Village, Kovilpatti Taluk, Thoothukudi District from the legal heirs of one Ramasamy Konar and Civil Court's decree is also in his favour. After purchase, he made an application, on 28.11.2013, before the first and second respondents to grant patta in his favour. Subsequently, he made several representations. Finally, he made a representation before the third respondent on 28.07.2016. Despite the same, the third respondent did not pass any orders. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Muruganandham, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents.
4.In the above circumstances, this Court is of the view that since the application of the petitioner has been pending from the year 2013, the third respondent/Tahsildar, Kovilpatti Taluk, Tuticorin District, is directed to conduct an enquiry, after giving notice to the rival parties, if any and after affording sufficient opportunity, is to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
