The present writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second and third respondents to complete the enquiry on the basis of the report forwarded by the fourth respondent in his proceedings dated 20.09.2016 in Na.Ka.No.2353/2016/E3.

2. Heard Mr.S.Sukumar, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Muruganantham, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he is the absolute

owner of the property in UDR S.No.140/7, New survey S.No.104/7 of Arumbanur II Village, Madurai, by virtue of a registered sale deed in Document No.4577/2010 of Sub-Registrar Office, Otthakadai, Madurai.

4. The petitioner would claim that he approached the respondents for issuance of patta in his favour in respect of the lands referred supra. Since there was no progress, the present writ petition has been filed.

Mr.S.Sukumar, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Muruganantham, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents on instructions would submit that the second respondent, the District Revenue Officer, Madurai District, has already issued summons based on the representation of the petitioner and an enquiry is fixed on 10.02.2017 and a copy of the summon is also placed before this Court.

In view of the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition and the above undisputed facts, the second respondent is directed to conclude the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.G5/47696/2016 as expeditiously as possible preferable within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
