ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the respondents to pay the petitioner's 4th and 5th review benefit arrears namely difference amount in salary, difference amount in earned leave salary and difference amount in pension and commutation within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Mr. D. Sivaraman, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr. A. Swaminathan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for 3rd respondent. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

Though this petition has been filed to give a positive direction to the respondents, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner will be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the respondents 1 and 2, to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 27.06.2019.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered on merits within a specified time that may be fixed by this Court.

5. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer, that is now sought before this Court by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 27.06.2019, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
