This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the second respondent to conduct the investigation in a proper manner based on a complaint given by the petitioner. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner is a owner of a lorry bearing Registration No.TN / 81 / A / 1464. He was informed that the lorry met with an accident on 20.06.2019. Thereafter, the vehicle was taken by the Finance Company and now the vehicle is under the custody of the said Company. Based on a complaint given by a person, who is said to have involved in the accident, the First Information Report has been registered against the petitioner and the second respondent / Inspector of Police is investigating the complaint. Since the petitioner is not involved in the crime and now, he has been falsely implicated in this case, he has filed the present petition.
3.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that based on a complaint given by one Perumal Raja, a First Information Report has been registered for the offences under Sections 279 and 337 of the Indian Penal Code. file a final report within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that now the First Information Report has been registered against the petitioner and the investigation is in progress, the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
