This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to sanction and to disburse relief / Financial Assistance from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund on the death of petitioner's eldest deceased son namely Sudalai Kannan (minor), aged 16/2016, due to electric accident occurred at petitioner's residential house, on the basis of the recommendation made by the third respondent in his proceedings dated Na.Ka.Aa4/7783/2016 dated 08.12.2022 to the second respondent and considering the petitioner's representation dated 14.11.2022. 2/6

2.Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's elder son Sudalai Kannan died due to unexpected electric shock. Hence, the petitioner sought for financial assistance from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund on account of the death of his son. The petitioner has also made a representation on 14.11.2022, in this regard. Since no action has been taken pursuant to his representation, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition.

3.Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that already recommendations have been sent to the Government with regard to the petitioner's claim and seeks for twelve [12] weeks time.

4.Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's request / representation dated 14.11.2022 and pass orders within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
