ORDER
The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to dispose the application of the petitioner bearing No.2017/0103/30/106452, dated 18.09.2017 for issuance of patta in accordance with law, expeditiously.
2.Heard Mr.C.Godwin, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.
3.By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 4.The petitioner, in order to get patta for the land at Survey Nos.376/13 and 376/9 covered under existing patta Nos.2054 and 4759 in Kollencode Village, Vilavamcode Taluk, had made an application to the respondent through online on 18.09.2017 with patta transfer vide Can No.0333004364717 and application No.2017/0103/30/106452. All that the learned counsel for the petitioner wants let the said application be decided by the respondent on merits, within a time frame.

5.I have heard Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, who would submit that, the said application of the petitioner, dated 18.09.2017 would be decided on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.
5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following directions:- "that the respondent is hereby directed to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 18.09.2017 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any, by issuing separate notice to them, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. "
