Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and provide protection to conduct "Aadal Padal"(m+ly; ghly;) scheduled to be held on 08.05.2017 at 08.00 p.m., to 12.00 p.m., and conduct "Orchestra"(,d;dpir fr;Nrhp) on 10.05.2017 at 08.00 p.m., to 12.00 p.m., and further conduct of "Kerala Chendai Melam"(Nfus nrz;il Nksk;) on 11.05.2017 at 06.00 p.m., to 10.00 p.m., as part of Annual Temple Festival of Annai Shri Santhanamariamman Temple at Therku Veerapandiapuram Village, Ottapidaram Taluk, Tuticorin District on the basis of representation dated 10.04.2017. [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting programmes in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. 3.It is seen from the records that on 10.04.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 10.04.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
