Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to the respondents to remove the encroachments in Siddharpatti Channel (Odai) beginning from bottom of the Ayndhukal Hill to Siddharpatti Village, Aundipatti Taluk Theni District as per G.O.(Ms) No.540 Revenue (L6(2)) Department dated 04.12.2014.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J) The petitioner submitted a representation to the fourth respondent, requesting to remove the encroachments inSiddharpatti Channel (Odai) beginning from bottom of the Ayndhukal Hill to Siddharpatti Village, Aundipatti Taluk in the District of Theni. Since follow up action was not taken by the revenue authorities, the petitioner is before this Court.

2.We direct the fourth respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated 18 December 2015, on merits and as per law, after issuing notice to all concerned. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.The petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation, dated 18 December 2015 along with a copy of this order, so as to enable the fourth respondent to consider and dispose of the matter, as expeditiously as possible.

4.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
