ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the respondents to sanction and grant provident fund loan of Rs.4,00,000/- to the petitioner from his provident fund contribution for the construction and the renovation of his house, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Mr. J. Senthil Kumaraiah, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.

According to the petitioner, he has made a representation to the respondents to sanction and grant provident fund loan of Rs.4,00,000/- to him from his provident fund contribution for the construction and the renovation of his house. The said representation was rejected by the respondents / Corporation by stating the reason that the petitioner has not furnished the building approval to the respondents Corporation. Subsequently, the petitioner has obtained approval from the Executive Engineer, Sholavandan Town Panchayat on 07.06.2019. Hence, the petitioner has sent a fresh representation dated 22.06.2019 to the respondents / Corporation, but, the same was not considered by the respondents. In such circumstances, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petitin before this Court.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered by the respondents on merits within a specified time that may be fixed by this Court.

5. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer, that is now sought before this Court by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 22.06.2019 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
