Mrs.K.Porkodi, learned Government Counsel, takes notice for the respondent.

2. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondent.

4. The petitioner herein was initially appointed as Assistant in the Revenue Department and now, promoted to the post of Deputy Tahsildar on 14.08.2020 and his pay has been fixed as Rs.36,900/- on 14.08.2020 and thereafter, the two others, who are stated to be juniors to the petitioner, namely, R.Kannan and K.Raja were promoted to the post of Deputy Tahsildar on 21.05.2022 and their pay has been fixed at Rs.41,500/-. As the said two persons are juniors to the petitioner and both are from the cadre of Assistant to the cadre of Deputy Tahsildar, the petitioner appears to have made a claim for fixing of his pay on par with his juniors at Rs.41,500/- by submitting representations dated 26.09.2024 and 13.11.2024. The said representations were not considered by the respondents. Hence, he approached this Court by filing this writ petition. 2/4

5. Mrs.K.Porkodi, learned Government Counsel, on instructions, submitted that the representations submitted by the petitioner would be considered by the respondent and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law.

In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the representations dated 26.09.2024 and 13.11.2024 submitted by the petitioner as expeditious as possible, at any rate, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the said directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
