..Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose the petitioner's appeal, dated 16.07.2012 preferred against the order passed by the District Registrar, Marthandam in his proceedings bearing No.607/Aa/2012, dated 11.07.2012 within a stipulated period that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the Respondent.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. According to the petitioner, he filed an appeal before the respondent against the order passed by the District Registrar, Marthandam, dated 11.07.2012 and the appeal is pending from 16.07.2012. But, so far, the respondent did not take any steps to dispose of the said appeal.

4. In the above circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 16.07.2012, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all the necessary parties concerned, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
