This Criminal original Petition has been filed to quash the impugned proceedings. The case is pending at the stage of committal proceedings. The offences involved are Sections 342, 294 (b), 397 and 506(2) IPC. In a case of this nature it is not possible to quash the proceedings on the basis of the contentions the petitioner's counsel. However, the Court below is directed to conclude the committal proceedings at the earliest. With these directions to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Nanguneri, Tirunelveli District, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
