ORDER

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection to her life and limb by considering her representation dated 10.05.2024.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the sister of the 3rd respondent. The petitioner's father, during his life time, has executed a registered settlement deed dated 05.10.2023, settling the house property located at North Swankara Street, Trichy, in her favour. On the strength of the said document, when the petitioner entered into the house, the 3rd respondent has not allowed her to enter into the house, threatened her and also abused her in filthy language. Therefore, the petitioner 2/4

has lodged a complaint before respondent Police and sought for police protection to her property. Since there was no action, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent submits that with regard to the subject property, the 3rd respondent has filed a suit as against his father in O.S.No.689 of 2023 and the same is pending before the Sub Court No.IV, Trichy.

4. Since the suit in O.S.No.689 of 2023 is pending with regard to the subject property, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to workout her remedy before the Sub Court No.IV, Trichy, in O.S.No.689 of 2023.
