: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to issue Hindu Kattunayakkan Community Certificate to the petitioner's school going children namely (1) M.Ashok Kumar and (2) M.Kavitha based on his application dated 13.02.2017, within the time frame fixed by this Court. ********* [Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] Heard Mr.P.Kalaiyarasi Bharathi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Muruganantham, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
2.The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for a direction to the second respondent to issue Community Certificate to his school going children, namely, (1) M.Ashok Kumar and (2) M.Kavitha stating that they belong to Hindu Kattunayakkan Community. 3. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who appears and accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions,
would submit that the report of the Revenue Inspector has been called for and as soon as such report is received, the second respondent will process the application.
4. Considering the fact that the children of the petitioner, who seek Community Certificates, are school going children, one of them has written Plus Two examination, we direct the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 13.02.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of the report from the Revenue Inspector.
