Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent herein to take immediate action to survey, measure and fix the boundaries in respect of the petitioner's property situated at Ward No.3, Ammankovil Street, Umarikadu, Korkai Village, Srivaikundam Taluk, Thoothukudi District, comprised in Survey No.677/9 on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 16.07.2016 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the Respondents.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. According to the petitioner, she filed an application before the second respondent for measuring her land and to fix boundaries, as per her sale deeds and revenue records. The said application has been filed by the petitioner on 16.07.2016 along with necessary fees. But, so far the second respondent did not https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

take any steps to dispose of the said application. Hence, she has filed the present Writ Petition.

4. In the above circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner and measure her property and fix boundaries, as per her sale deeds and revenue records, after giving notice to the petitioner as well as the neighbouring owners, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
