*********** [Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.] This writ petition has been filed for directing the respondent authorities to take action against the tenth respondent, namely, DCW Private Limited, Tiruchendur Taluk, Arumuganeri (Sadhupuram) Post, Thoothukudi District. The writ petitioner has submitted a representation dated 10.03.2017 in this regard.
2.The writ petitioner alleges that the said company is indulging in air pollution. He would also contend that the safety norms are not being followed.
3.When the matter was taken up for final disposal, the learned counsel appearing for the tenth respondent filed a typed
set of papers and also his counter affidavit. It is seen that the said company is functioning since 1958. It has obtained licenses from all the concerned departments. The writ petitioner has not questioned the issuance of licenses in favour of the said company. He merely seeks initiation of action against the tenth respondent. The writ petitioner has not given any specific or credible material for this Court to take cognizance of the matter. The allegations are vague and general. When we questioned the petitioner who appeared in person, he again was not specific. 4.Therefore, we do not deem it appropriate to grant the relief sought for in this writ petition. This Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
