O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to provide the drinking water pipe line connection to the petitioner's house, which is situated at Door 69, Alagapuram Street, Nanguneri Panchayat, Tirunelveli District, based upon the petitioner's representation dated 17.05.2016. 2.Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he is an agriculturist and has own property at Door 69, Alagapuram Street, Nanguneri Panchayat, Tirunelveli District; that drinking water https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pipeline connection has already been approved by the respondents to the petitioner's house as well as to other 180 houses; even after issuance of proceedings by the respondents, thereafter, no steps were taken by the respondents to provide water pipe line connection; that the petitioner has sent a detailed representation dated 17.05.2016, which did not evoke any response from the respondents and therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court with the relief stated supra.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the 1st respondent would submit that it is agreeable for the respondents to consider the representation dated 17.05.2016 of the petitioner within a reasonable time frame.

5. Under such circumstances, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.05.2016 and to take appropriate action on the same within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
