ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to provide police protection to life and limb of the petitioner from the respondents 3 and 4.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an old woman, aged about 82 years and the private respondents cheated her money to the tune of Rs.40,000/- and also threatened her. Therefore, she lodged a complaint. But, so far no action has been taken. Hence this petition has been filed.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that in this case, enquiry is pending. Further, he stated that the petitioner filed a private complaint before the concerned Judicial Magistrate under Section 150(3) of Cr.P.C., which was forwarded to the respondent police and the same is also under investigation.

4.In view of Rule 21 of the Protection of Life and Property of Senior Citizens Rules, 2009, the second respondent is directed to take prompt action upon the complaint lodged by the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
