: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to survey and fix the four boundaries of the petitioner's land in S.Nos.1088/B8 and 1088/B6 of Katchakatti Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District and consequently, to direct the second respondent to provide police protection to survey his land.

O R D E R

It is the case of the petitioner that he has made a representation to the first respondent seeking survey of his land and fixing of the four boundaries of his land in Survey Nos.1088/B8 and 1088/B6 of Katchakatti Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District and, thereafter, the petitioner filed the present Writ Petition for a direction to the second respondent police to provide police protection.

2. In the considered opinion of this Court, as and when the Tahsildar or Revenue Authorities seek permission for police protection to survey the land, the police shall provide necessary protection.

3. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
