Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to release the pending payment of Rs.3,55,874/- for the completion of work order issued by the 2nd respondent for construction of Periyakulam VSC Forest Range Office at Valkaradu R.F., during the year 2012-2013 under the Tamil Nadu Bio-Diversity conservation and Greening project by considering the petitioner's representations, dated 28.06.2016 and accordance with law, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

According to the petitioner, she is a Contractor and she was awarded with a work, for the construction of Periyakulam VSC Forest Range Office at Valkaradu Reserve Forest, during the year 2012-2013. The total bill amount is Rs.11,35,000/-, whereas, the second respondent paid only a sum of Rs.7,79,126/- leaving the balance sum of Rs.3,55,874/-. So far, the balance amount has not been paid to the petitioner. Hence, she made a representation to the second respondent on 28.06.2016. According to the petitioner, even though the work was completed in the year 2015, the respondents did not take any steps to disburse the remaining amount. Hence, she has filed this Writ Petition.

In view of the above, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 28.06.2016 and pass suitable orders, after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, with regard to payment of remaining amount if any, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
