PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent to dispose the Petitioner's appeal pending File No:36190/U1/14, dated 04.08.2014 on file of the 1st Respondent office in the light of the Circular No-67, dated 03.11.2011 issued by 1st respondent within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.R.Karunanidhi For Respondents : Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, Additional Government Pleader.

O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose the petitioner's appeal pending File No:36190/U1/14, dated 04.08.2014, on file of the first respondent office in the light of the Circular No-67, dated 03.11.2011 issued by first respondent within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Heard, Mr.R.Karunanidhi, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional

Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is directed to be disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ petition, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 14.02.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, in the light of the Circular No.67, dated 03.11.2011, issued by the first respondent, after giving an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the other parties concerned, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
