ORDER

Claiming that he has completed 10 years of service in the cadre of Superintendent, the petitioner has sought for Selection Grade and that request was rejected by the order dated 31.05.2016. Challenging the same, the petitioner preferred Appeal dated 17.08.2016 to the respondent. As the said Appeal is not yet disposed of, this Writ of Mandamus has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent to dispose of the Appeal within a time frame.

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that it is agreeable for the respondent to consider the Appeal dated 17.08.2016 and to pass orders within a time frame.

3.Recording the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the Appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 17.08.2016 and to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
