Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant permission to conduct the 'Chithirai Thiru Veethi Ula' on 30.04.2017 at about evening 6.00 P.M., in the function to be held at "Arulmingu Sri Selvamariamman Temple", which is situated in Maruvathur Village, Thuriyur Taluk, Trichy District and consequently to give adequate police protection to the festival.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting programme mentioned therein, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus on the basis of the representation, dated 11.04.2017.

2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. 3.It is seen from the records that on 11.04.2017, the petitioner has given a representation and the same has not been considered by the respondents. Court is inclined to pass the following order. 4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 11.04.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
