ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking orders to expedite the proceedings in E.P.No.93 of 2024, pending on the file of the learned III Additional District Judge, at Tirunelveli.

2. The petitioners herein filed a case in M.C.O.P.No.80 of 2011 before the learned III Additional District Judge, Tirunelveli, against the respondent herein seeking compensation. Since the respondent was not chosen to contest the case, it was decreed ex parte in favour of the petitioners on 30.06.2011. Thereafter, the petitioners filed an execution petition in E.P. No.93 of 2024 before the trial Court to execute the decree.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that this Court may be pleased to issue a direction to the trial Court to expedite the disposal of E.P. No.93 of 2024 within a reasonable time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the above, this Court is of the considered opinion that, without going into the merits of the case, it would be suffice to issue a direction to the III Additional District Court, Tirunelveli, to dispose of E.P. No.93 of 2024 in M.C.O.P. No.80 of 2011 after affording an opportunity to the respondent as expeditiously as possible as per seniority of the case.
