PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to call for the records pertaining to the case registered in FIR in Crime No.15 of 2008 on the file of the first respondent and quash the same.

O R D E R This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash FIR in Crime No.15 of 2008 on the file of the first respondent.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent submitted that as per the earlier direction of this Court dated 14.03.2024, the respondent police tried to find out the defacto complainant. But so far, whereabouts of the defacto complainant is not known. He further submitted that without any co-operation from the side of the defacto complainant, the investigation will not be completed.

3. In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the defacto complainant to co-operate with the respondent police to complete the investigation. If the defacto complainant fails to co-operate with the investigation and no cognizance is made out, the respondent police may close the FIR as "Further Action Dropped" within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
