ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to subdivide the property and grant patta in his favour in respect of the property covered by sale deed dated 17.02.2009 by considering his patta transfer application dated 24.12.2024 and further representation dated 24.01.2025.
2.Heard the arguments of Mr.T.Veerakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.S.Nedunchezian, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to the petitioner, he has got title over two cents of land situated in Survey No.291/27C, Kalappur Village, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District, under a registered sale deed dated
17.02.2009. Based on the said document, he submitted an online application seeking subdivision of the property and separate patta in his favour for the said property. The said application has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that though the petitioner purchased only two cents of land under the sale deed relied on by him, he has sought subdivision and issuance of patta for the larger extent, namely, 3 Ares. Therefore, the said request has not been considered.
5.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner confined his relief in respect of two cents of land conveyed under the above mentioned sale deed. The said statement is recorded. 6.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 24.12.2024, seeking subdivision and separate patta and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of
eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
