Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ or direction to direct the 2nd Respondent to issue Destitute Widow Certificate in favour of the Petitioner by considering her representation dated 16.09.2015 gave to the 2nd Respondent within the stipulated period fixed by this Hon'ble Court .

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the second respondent to issue Destitute Widow Certificate in favour of the Petitioner by considering her representation dated 16.09.2015.

2. Heard both sides.

3.It is stated that though the petitioner was originally residing at Kodairoad Post, with her husband and in-laws, she shifted her residence to Vadipatti after the death of her husband and she made an application seeking for Destitute Widow Certificate.

4.The grievance of the petitioner is that the said application has not been considered so far. Therefore, the second respondent is directed to consider the said application of the petitioner after giving sufficient opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
