It is the case of the petitioner that she is Lecturer in Bharathi Women College, Pudukkottai and that she is living in College Hostel. While so, she has been compelled by her parents to get marriage and that they are harassing her on that issue.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3.

3. Mr.S.Pitchai, Sub Inspector of Police, Vallathirakottai Police Station, Pudukkottai District, is present before this Court.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that earlier on the complaint given by the petitioner, petition enquiry has been conducted in C.S.R.No.16/2017 and the same was closed on 26.02.2017 and no https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

useful purpose will be served by issuing a direction to the respondent police.

5.This Court is of the view that if certain directions are issued to the Legal Services Authority to look into the grievance of the petitioner, there could be a amicable settlement. Therefore, this Court directs the petitioner to approach the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Pudukottai District within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and give a representation. On such representation being given, the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Pudukottai District shall look into the representation and if necessary call the parents of the petitioner and give appropriate counselling and advise.

6.With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
