ORDER

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondents herein to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct Hunger Strike on 31.07.2022 at Anna Nagar (Near Ambika Theatre) from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. by considering the petitioner's Application, dated 20.07.2022.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner sent the representations, dated 20.07.2022 and 25.07.2022 to the respondents, seeking permission and adequate police protection to conduct Hunger Strike on 31.07.2022 at Anna Nagar (Near Ambika Theatre) from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. But, till now no action has been taken. Hence this petition has been filed.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that respondent police is ready to consider the petitioner's representation. 4.In view of the above, the second respondent police is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.07.2022, on merit and in accordance with law, on or before 29.07.2022. 5.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
